ABOUT US
Where It All Began
Every great story starts with a dream — and ours began in the year 2000, with nothing more than an idea, a mother, and a daughter willing to work hard and dream big.
From humble beginnings — a small hall that could only accommodate 60 guests — Thabong has blossomed into one of Gauteng’s most beloved venues, now home to three beautiful halls, welcoming celebrations from 50 to 500 guests.
What started as a dream soon became a legacy — built with heart, family, and endless love.
A Family Touch in Every Corner
At Thabong, everything tells a story — every rose planted, every wall painted, every chair placed with care. This venue isn’t just built by hands; it’s built by family. From the first brick to the final bouquet, our family poured their hearts into creating a space that feels like home for every guest who walks through our doors.
Tanya’s dad, Jacques, had a deep love for roses — his passion still lives in every bloom that brightens our gardens today. Without his vision and dedication, Thabong simply wouldn’t exist.
Here, love isn’t just celebrated — it’s built into the very foundation of who we are.
More Than a Venue — A Legacy
Take a walk through our gardens, and you’ll feel it — the laughter, the love, the stories that have shaped Thabong through the
years. Every corner holds a memory. Every path whispers a story.
Thabong isn’t just a venue name — it’s a legacy, a work of art, a piece of our family’s heart.
It’s a place where dreams are celebrated, where families unite, and where moments turn into lifelong memories.
And as we continue to grow, one thing remains unchanged: Thabong will always be made with love — for you, and for every story yet to come
